FORT MYERS, Florida–A. Scott White of Scott White Advisors was named the president of the Financial Planning Association of Southwest Florida. The association is a chapter of the national Financial Planning Association.

Past president of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Society of Financial Service Professionals, White is also past president of the Lee County Estate Planning Council and founding president of the Planned Giving Council of Lee County. He is a
trustee for the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, a member of the planned giving committee for Lee Memorial Health System Foundation, and a member of the board of directors and chairman of the planned giving committee of the United Way of Lee County.

White is president of Scott White Advisors, an independent Fort Myers wealth management firm that specializes in the comprehensive financial and estate needs of high net worth families. For the past two years White was been named one of the country’s top financial planners by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
