Community Foundation Names A. Scott White Secretary-Treasurer
FORT MYERS, Florida, June 8, 2010 — A. Scott White was elected secretary-treasurer of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation, whose mission is to connect donors and their philanthropic aspirations with evolving community needs. The foundation supports the communities of Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Glades and Hendry counties through over 330 endowed funds and has provided more than $46 million in grants and scholarships.
A foundation trustee since 2005, White is also a member of the executive committee. He serves on the board of directors, executive and planned giving committees for the United Way of Lee County. He is a member of the planned giving committee for the Lee Memorial Health System Foundation and serves as treasurer of the Fort Myers Rotary Club.
