FORT MYERS, Florida, July 8, 2011 — A. Scott White was selected to serve as chairman of the marketing and public relations committee of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation. The foundation connects donors and their philanthropic aspirations with evolving community needs and supports the communities of Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Glades and Hendry counties through over 330 endowed funds and has provided more than $46 million in grants and scholarships.

A foundation trustee since 2005, White previously served as treasurer and is a member of the executive committee. He is past president of the Financial Planning Association Southwest Florida Chapter, past president of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the American Society of Financial Service Professionals, past president of the Lee County Estate Planning Council, and founding president of the Planned Giving Council of Lee County. He serves on the board of directors and planned giving committees for the United Way of Lee County. He is a member of the planned giving committee for the Lee Memorial Health System Foundation and serves as treasurer of the Fort Myers Rotary Club.
